Techy

Here's a drawing I did over the last couple days. I said in my last post that I wanted to get a bit more techy, well, this is my techy drawing. In the first drawing of Iron Man, I had to guess what his suit looked like. This time I had a lot more research. The composition is kind of ripped off from Adi Granov's Iron Man cover, but I didn't really realize it until I was almost finished. That's how ideas work. Sometimes you think they're original, ends up you just forgot where they came from. The drawing felt kind of retro for me. I used to love drawing tech stuff, guns and military vehicles, just for their inherent dramatic value, and pseudo masculinity, but lately I've moved on to more natural subjects. I only drew it at 81/2 x 11 instead of the standard comic page of 11x17, so it would go faster, and I wouldn't get super precise. My head gets weird when I try to get that detailed.
