Blue Heron
Here's another one of my ink and color pencil animal drawings. I wanted to make sure the background is a little blurred so the bird is clear, I'm not sure how well it worked out. You might be wondering why this blog isn't just one style or one type of subject. It can appear a little disjointed with no clear focus. Currently I'm trying to develop styles for different subject matters and their specific psychological representations. It sounds intellectual but basically it comes down to three types of images. One that's beautiful, one that's boring and mundane, and another that is grotesque and ugly. Almost all films are comprised of these three types of representations. As a visual artist, I don't want to be trapped in only one of these types of representations, or else I can get really bored and frustrated.
