Films 3

Here are the final three that I worked on last week. I'm planning on doing some closeup shots of faces, but that's a lot harder. The first is from "The Departed", the second from "A Very Long Engagement" and the third is from "Saving Private Ryan". I don't think many people have seen "A Very Long Engagement" it's a French film from the director of "Amelie", another whimsical French film. Jean Pierre Jeunet, the director, has a very visual style. He's alot like Guillermo Del Toro, who did "Pan's Labyrinth". When you think of foreign films, you usually think art films, but these guys are very visual and mainstream. That's not a judgement against independent foreign films, I like almost all styles of film. As usual there are some mess ups in the drawings but I'm used to that. As long as I can get the bulk of it done, I'm not a big stickler on the minor details.
